Above photo:  Very unusual photo as 340LAB was temporarily assigned to the Valley Division in April 1964.  It normally was assigned to the Los Angeles Division for back up service.  Units 341LA and 343LA, normally assigned to the Valley Division were sent to San Bernardino for their annual inspections and 340 was brought in to fill in.  This photo of Train #63, the Golden Gate at Bakersfield.
